‘Málaga 451: The Night of The Books’ is a literary festival towards the world of books in all their forms. It has become the biggest date in the south of Spain where authors, writers, booksellers, editors and readers reunite, in the three editions that have already been celebrated. A select representation of the current national and international literary trends is present at the festival, where there is room for novels, poetry, comics or essays, among other arts to which literature revolves around and exercises its endless influence.

This annual event not only holds shows and conferences of great authors and artists, but also celebrates numerous activities in different places within La Térmica. The capacity has been increasing every year; in the last four editions more than 20.000 people attended the festival with a programme of activities that, every year, lasted for around 8 hours. These activities take place in several different stages with an uninterrupted schedule within diverse genres. Also, children’s area, theatre in large and small format, themed exhibitions and a wide selling area where both the booksellers and the editors sold more than 1.500 items per year.

All of these along with an extraordinary line up with best authors of the current national and international scene, together with booksellers and editors, that have manage to position this festival in four editions, not only as a breakout activity within the cultural scene of Málaga; but also as a reference in the national outlook as its impact keeps getting more and more media attention.
